Colombia
| | Summary: Colombia implemented their current health warnings policy in July, 2009. Tobacco companies will have one year to implement the regulations listed in the article. All cigarette packages will be required to have health warnings covering 30% of both the front and back of all packages. This means 30% of the overall package space will be appropriated to health warnings. A different set of health warnings will be rotated annually. Colombia also prohibits the terms "light" and "mild" from appearing on packages. In October, 2009, Colombia adopted regulations which required the use of picture warnings to cover 30% of both prinicipal display areas of cigarette pages (30% of the overall package). |
