Summary: In 2004, Norway introduced legislation that prohibited the advertising of tobacco products, and limited the public areas in which residents could smoke. In October 2009, Norway's Ministry of Health and Care Services announced that all cigarette packs will carry a pictorial health warning by July 2011. Fourteen health warnings will be rotated on cigarette packages. Beginning January 1, 2012, Norway will also require health warnings on other applicable tobacco products. |
